UPDATE: the event schedule for the Wigmore Hospital in Moose Jaw has been cancelled.
For Immediate Release – May 17, 2017
Saskatoon – SEIU-West members will be participating in Day of Action events in support of Stop the Cuts coalition happening outside of schools and health care facilities in 30 locations in various communities across Saskatchewan on May 17, 2017.
“We are asking people to not only advocate for good jobs in their communities but to insist that the corporate tax rebate that was announced in the budget be reversed,” added Cape. “We know that it is good for our communities is to have access to strong public services and decent jobs that pay a living wage. Now, more than ever, we should be investing in our local communities, services and our province.”
SEIU-West is inviting members of the community to come out to one of these 30 events taking place in several communities across the province.
In-person interviews will be available in the following two locations:
• Biggar: SEIU-West President Barbara Cape will be attending the rally in front of local MLA Randy Weekes’ Office.
• Moose Jaw: SEIU-West Vice-President Neil Colmin will be attending the event at Pioneer Lodge
