Apply Today! The SEIU-West Education Department is pleased to invite members to register Activist Camp 2020! The online course will take place on Zoom, a video conferencing service. The course will take place the week of September 14-18 – those who register will be sent their date after registration.
Objective: The goal of this one day course is for participants to learn, understand and engage on:
- Skills-share opportunities with other SEIU-West activists
- Why Politics Matter and Building an Inclusive Front
- Goal Setting/Strategic thinking/Planning your activism
- A series of workshops designed to enhance your organizing, communication, and leadership skills
This course is designed for any dues paying member who is interested in expanding their activism on a broader scale in their community. Those who have not taken this training will be given first priority.
SEIU-West will cover the costs of 15 participants per online session. Expenses will be reimbursed to a maximum of one day lost wages/honorarium. Mileage/accommodations/meals will not be included as this training can take place from the comfort of your home.

YOU MUST REGISTER BY AUGUST 17 and you’ll be notified what date the training will take place in order to book union leave. You’ll also receive a link to join the course via email.
