Media Advisory: Health Care Providers in Gull Lake & Cabri are #DoneWaiting
Saskatoon – SEIU-West members will be demonstrating outside of Gull Lake and District Special Care Centre and Prairie Health Care Centre on October 8, 2020 to show their heightened frustration with SAHO bargaining and the Saskatchewan government’s refusal to fund a fair deal.
“Our members are committed to demanding a fair offer from SAHO,” says Barbara Cape, President of SEIU-West. “It’s going to take a demonstration of commitment from our provincial government to invest in the people who provide our public health care services in all of our communities. Our members want the public to know that they are done waiting.”
“We have now sent Notice of Impasse to the Minister of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety. We know our members are committed to getting a fair deal from SAHO – and it’s up to our provincial government to ensure this happens,” says Barbara Cape, President of SEIU-West. “Our communities deserve investment in public health care services and our provincial government needs to understand that this is a priority for health care workers and those they care for.”
