The Saskatchewan Federation of Labour (SFL) will hold its annual convention virtually on October 20-22, 2021.
The SFL represents over 100,000 hard working union members in Saskatchewan, from 37 national and international unions. Its goal is to improve working people’s lives throughout the province, whether organized or unorganized, and regardless of affiliation to the SFL.
The convention is a wonderful opportunity to get involved in Saskatchewan’s labour movement, and advocate for better social, economic and environmental policies. Delegates will enjoy two and half days of education and plenary sessions. Awards, presentations and guest speakers are also part of this event.
To support the SFL and its convention, the SEIU-West Executive Board has agreed to sponsor up to 30 members to attend the convention as delegates. Four of these spaces are being reserved for Young Workers – if you are an SEIU-West member who will be no more than 29 years of age on opening day of convention, (October 20) you can apply for one of the four designated spots.
This includes the registration fee, lost wages or honoraria, and any associated costs.
Please complete the Expression of Interest Form for the SFL Convention OR complete this printable PDF and return to the attention of Neil Colmin by fax (306.652.1392) or by email [email protected] by September 8, 2021.
SEIU-West can only send so many delegates so get your expression of interest in as soon as possible!
