We stand in solidarity with Saskatchewan Union of Nurses and call on the immediate installation of a metal detector at St. Paul's Hospital, along with more security measures to ensure that patients, their families, and staff have confidence that when they are accessing care at a Saskatoon hospital, they are in a safe environment.
The SEIU-West First Nations Métis Inuit Committee (FNMIC) is pleased to invite members to apply for their one-day conference, taking place at our Saskatoon SEIU-West office (747-46th Street West) on October 2nd, 2024.
This conference is designed for SEIU-West members to join with the FNMIC to empower each other. We will hear from First Nations leaders in our community and work together to create ideas to expand our presence in our union and in our communities. We will reserve half of the spots for members that identify as First Nations Métis or Inuit and welcome Settlers and New Canadians interested in being an ally to fill the other half of the spots.
Space is limited to 25 attendees so apply now!
Expenses will be reimbursed to a maximum of one days' lost wages/honorarium. Meals and accommodations will be provided, and mileage will be reimbursed according to our policies.
Be sure to apply by September 1st, 2024! After the application deadline, those who are selected to attend will be sent a confirmation with more details about the event.
