SEIU-West is looking for three members to volunteer to be our representatives on the Joint Regional SEIU-West/former Saskatoon Health Region (SHR) DTA/RTW Committee (Duty to Accommodate/Return to Work).
You must work within the former SHR.
This is a one year commitment with employer paid time, and SEIU-West will provide travel costs as required. Meetings are held monthly and are typically 1-2 hours in duration.
You will require your Shop Steward Level 1 training, an open mind and an interest in learning; no previous experience with DTA/RTW is required.
This joint committee will review barriers to Return to Work/Accommodation in an effort to find a collaborative way to successfully accommodate the member in the workplace.
Attached are the position description roles and responsibilities.
If you have questions or are interested in this unique learning experience please fill out and return the attached EOI (Expression of Interest) to SEIU-West V.P. Neil Colmin at [email protected].
The deadline for submissions is Monday Aug 16, 2021.
