As you may be aware, we have a number of committees who are looking to fill vacancies. If you are an SEIU-West member (or know of an SEIU-West member in your workplace) that is looking for a great way to get involved in your union, are enthusiastic, curious, and ready to learn, take a look at the various committees and see if one peaks your interest.

We also have a Committee Openings poster that can be displayed on the SEIU-West bulletin board in your workplace for coworkers to find. Joining a committee is a great way to meet new people, step outside of your comfort zone, and show your solidarity in your union.
SEIU-West's Aboriginal Committee met on May 31 and has many exciting initiatives coming up.

SEIU-West Education Committee is pleased to sponsor up to 6 members to attend Prairie School for Union Women from June 13-16, 2022. The Prairie School for Union Women (PSUW) offers trade union women an intensive four days of learning and sharing in a supportive environment. The goals of the school are to develop women’s personal and leadership skills and to build solidarity among women workers.
Your completed Expression of Interest form must be received in our office on or before April 27, 2022 in order to allow us to complete the registration and selection process. In this brochure, you can determine what course interests you most.
We will cover costs of registration, hotels, mileage, meals and wages/per diem.

Apply to attend the 2022 CLC/SFL Spring School being held May 2nd – May 6th at Delta Hotel in Regina OR virtually! The Education Committee will be sponsoring up to 3 delegates to attend in person and up to 3 delegates to attend virtually. The Education Committee will cover registration costs and lost wages for those attending virtually, and registration costs, lost wages, travel costs, hotel room and meal expenses for those who are selected to attend in person.
