Education Week 2025: Allison

October 19-25, 2025 is Education Week. Our SEIU-West members work tirelessly to provide children in Saskatchewan the supports they need to succeed.

Allison works as an Educational Assistant and Library Technician and has been in this role for over 20 years. She loves working with children and wanted a job that was close to her small-town home. She has her Early Childhood Education Certificate and Office Education training.

She primarily works with kindergarten students in their daily activities, under the direction of the teacher. She also performs all aspects of the library's operation, including circulating materials, cataloging and processing new books and helping students and staff find information. Allison also inventories books and organizes shelves.

She loves working with young children and it was extremely helpful to be in the same building as her children during their entire Kindergarten to grade 12 schooling.
