FACT CHECK

Minister of Health, Jim Reiter, has gone on record stating that since 2007 the SaskParty has increased resources to the health care sector by 60%.
If he’s talking about staff compensation, that seems unlikely.
According to Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) and Stats Canada, for hospital staff, compensation spending fell by 1.4% over the last two years. When you factor in population growth and inflation, the drop is almost 7%.
If there has been investment in health care, where is that money going?
Certainly it’s not to staff compensation.
