The SEIU-West Workers of Colour Multicultural Mentorship Committee recently sent members to attend the People Bridge Advocacy (PBA) Awards Gala.
To recognize Health Care Provider week, SEIU-West, SGEU and CUPE wrote to the Ministry of Health to have this week formally recognized. Normally the Ministry sends us a certificate of recognition, but we didn’t receive one this year. Don’t worry, we’ll follow up with the new Minister of Health.

But this week, in this chaotic environment in healthcare, we wanted to acknowledge the incredible work all of you are doing to keep our patients, clients and residents safe and healthy. You do an incredible job, and we are so very proud of you! We encourage you to take some time to acknowledge your coworkers this week and celebrate the tremendous contributions you make to our healthcare system
