Dear Members,
Your health provider unions met with SAHO June 8 -12. Unfortunately, despite the employer claiming to have “refined” their key priorities around the movement of work and workers, their proposals lack details and remain unacceptable.
As a result, the employer is stalling monetary discussions and is taking the process hostage until we agree to their key priorities:
- Movement of work and workers
- Contracting in
- Contracting out
Their priorities would weaken or outright eliminate workplace protections for you, our members, and this is something we cannot accept. Your health provider unions are developing a collaborative strategy with timelines to move us to the next stage of bargaining.
Please speak to your friends, family, coworkers and elected government officials about what your bargaining committees are fighting for. We are stronger when we are united and it is your strength that will help secure the deal you deserve.
