Join SEIU-West in Recognizing Indigenous Peoples Day – Saskatoon and Regina events!
SEIU-West will be joining Rock Your Roots Walk for Reconciliation on Thursday, June 21st at 9.30 am at Victoria Park, Saskatoon – check out the FaceBook event! Make sure you arrive earlier to find your purple family to walk with and let us know by email [email protected] if you will be joining us!
The theme this year for the annual walk is ‘Planting the Seed’, which means that we are growing towards an inclusive community by planting the seeds of reconciliation through honouring survivors and responding to the Calls to Action by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
If you cannot join us this time, click here to find out more about other opportunities to engage with and support Indigenous people in Saskatchewan. And if you happen to be in Regina, stop by the National Indigenous Peoples Day Blanket Exercise at the Justice for Our Stolen Children camp. You can click here to read more about the event in Regina. Let’s join in purple with SEIU-West family, and show that we are allies hoping for more inclusive community!
