November 7, 2025
Dear Members,
We want to thank those who were able to come out last week to attend our very successful media event at the Legislature in Regina. It was great to see members from the three Health Care Provider Unions (HPUs) from across the province stand together in solidarity. During Question Period, multiple MLAs asked questions to the Premier and the Minister of Health on our behalf. We were also able to have meetings with the Opposition Caucus and the Minister of Health to address our concerns over the slow pace of bargaining and the state of health care in our province.
The Health Provider Unions met with the employer this week to continue negotiations. While discussions remain ongoing and progress was made, no formal agreement was reached on common items.
We continue to have respectful dialogue and are working to address the issues that are important to our members. The HPU committee remains committed to achieving a fair agreement that recognizes your hard work and contributions.
We appreciate your patience and support as we move through what can often be a lengthy process. Your solidarity and engagement make a real difference at the table.
Our next bargaining dates are scheduled for November 18-21.
We will continue to keep you informed as bargaining progresses.
In solidarity,
Your CUPE 5430, SEIU-West, and SGEU bargaining committees
