Dear Members,
This week, your tri-union bargaining committee worked on common proposal items from November 18 through today. This included working towards language improvements to the Employee Family Assistance Program (EFAP), and posting and filling of vacancies.
We also worked on making your benefits “portable”. This means ensuring that your access to benefits is seamless, should you change workplaces or unions. After that, each individual union worked on proposals unique to their membership.
Bargaining resumes Monday, December 1 and will continue through Friday, December 5.
Your activism, solidarity, and support for your bargaining committee have been invaluable, and continue to help us make progress. We’ll keep you informed.
