This week, the provider unions' bargaining committees (CUPE, SEIU-West, and SGEU Health) — met with SAHO in Saskatoon. We exchanged our common bargaining table discussion and started common table proposal packages.
During the week, leaders from the health provider unions also conducted a joint media event with Global news. We publicly addressed concerns about the bargaining process, specifically criticizing both the provincial government and its bargaining agent, SAHO, for what we characterized as “slow walking” or unnecessarily delaying negotiations.
The unions and SAHO will be returning to the bargaining table to continue common table discussions the week on November 3rd.
