Congrats to Evelyn, the winner of SEIU-West's Multicultural Mentorship Committee Contest International Migrants Day: Coming to Canada.
This is her story:
I came to Canada in 1980 on Halloween day. The trees were all brown and the air was cold to me already.
I came from the Philippines to have a better future and my young cousins here in Canada helped me to adapt because they were able to tell me what to do and how to do things here in Canada.
Congrats to over 42 years of living in Canada. We hope you have enjoyed the life you made here and are happy to have you as our SEIU-West member!
