Welcome to our October Occupation Extravaganza!
October is jam packed with recognition days and weeks. Keep an eye on the Purple Works page to see everyone we're able to highlight this month!
And you know SEIU-West loves to celebrate you, our members. And what better way to do that than a massive month-long contest packed full of prizes!
So, here's the deal. Every week we'll announce a new contest—don't worry, we'll tell you everything you need to do that week—and the sweet, sweet prizes that go along with it. All you need to do is follow the instructions for that week and you're entered to win! Simple as that.
As a little added bonus, every time you complete the weekly instructions, you receive an entry into the Grand Prize Draw (the prize will be announced later this month, but trust us, it's good!). Want yet another entry into the Grand Prize Draw? Complete a Purple Works profile and you get a bonus entry for the Grand Prize, and an entry into the prize draw for completed profiles!
That's right, if you complete a Purple Works profile and enter every week's contest, that's five chances to win the Grand Prize! And, that's also one entry into five other prize draws!
The Prizes:
Prizes include, but are not limited to, SEIU-West merchandise and/or gift certificates, food delivery and/or restaurant/grocery vouchers, assorted prize packages, experiences, and more!
The Fine Print:
October Occupation Extravaganza is open to SEIU-West members.
The contest is not endorsed or authorized by any social media platform the contest is posted on.
Deadlines to enter are 9:00 am Monday mornings.
Prizes are drawn Mondays in October and winners will be notified by email and will not be contacted via any social media channel. Winners will be announced Monday afternoons or Tuesdays on our social media platforms and on this page.
In the event travel and/or accommodations are required to redeem any prizes, SEIU-West is not responsible for these costs.
All physical prizes will be available for pick up at an SEIU-West office. Digital prizes will be sent to winners via email.
The Contests:
October 3-10: It's Food Services Week, so tell us what is your favourite fall drink? Email your answers to [email protected] by 9:00 am Tuesday, October 11 and you could win!
Bonus Contest and Prize October 6-11: What is your favourite Thanksgiving side dish? Email your answers to [email protected] by 9:00 am Tuesday, October 11 and you could win 2 box seat tickets to see Styx and Nancy Wilson's Heart at Sasktel Centre in Saskatoon on Saturday October 15!
October 10-16: Tell us one thing you do at work each day to keep your patients/residents/clients/families and coworkers safe and healthy! Email your answers to [email protected] by 9am on Monday October 17 for your chance to win one of four prizes this week including gift cards for food, movies, events and a SEIU-West Merch Pack!!
October 17-23: Tell us your favourite education support staff member. It could be your childhood or your kid's school. Prizes include gift cards for food, movies, events, and SEIU-West merch! Contest closes 9am Monday, October 24. Email your responses to [email protected].
October 26-30: Tell us what part of your job makes you feel proud! Grand Prize is a pair of tickets to see the Grey Cup in Regina on November 20, 2022. Additional prizes include gift cards for food and SEIU-West merch! Contest closes 9am Monday, October 31. Email your responses to [email protected].
