The members of SEIU-West have spoken!
The result of the job action vote is a very strong YES in support of job action.
Our practice is to not publish vote counts – we didn’t do that with the tentative agreement vote results in April and we are not doing it this time.
We want everyone’s attention focused on the need to get a fair and reasonable tentative agreement that our members can accept.
We will be notifying SAHO, the SHA and the Government of Saskatchewan of the results and requesting they collectively bring more resources to the bargaining table with SEIU-West to get a deal.
We will continue to update the members as we continue the bargaining process. Please support your bargaining committee by checking the SEIU-West website for updates and actions you can take to achieve a fair collective agreement.
Thank you.
In Solidarity,
Barbara Cape
President, SEIU-West
