We stand in solidarity with Saskatchewan Union of Nurses and call on the immediate installation of a metal detector at St. Paul's Hospital, along with more security measures to ensure that patients, their families, and staff have confidence that when they are accessing care at a Saskatoon hospital, they are in a safe environment.
As a union, SEIU-West is committed to advancing the rights of all people and we do this work together with our community allies. We embrace a model of leadership that promotes a fair society - one where all are respected and valued. We believe that coming together we can and will leave a better and more equal world for younger and later generations. 
As a leader of SEIU-West, it is my honour to introduce you to Janine Lazaro as a member leader of SEIU-West. She is charming, energetic, bright and honest - and this civic election she has offered up her talents to join the leadership team on City Council in the City of Saskatoon. In my experience over the last 6 years, working next to Janine has been a pleasure. She is guided by strong principles, understands the need for public services and will actively pursue the concerns of her constituents.
Please support Janine Lazaro as City Councillor in Ward 3 and her agenda for an affordable, sustainable and inclusive Saskatoon.
