"I love seeing participants become more comfortable in the pool!" - Rebecca.
Rebecca is a Direct Support Worker at Variety Place. In her job, she assists the residents in personal care such as: getting dressed and toileted, going for outings and doing activities, laundry and cooking. Rebecca has her level 1 non-violent crisis intervention, Transfer Lift and Reposition (TLR) training, Person Centred Planning, and Basic Skills Training.
She loves taking participants on outings in the community and a highlight for her is seeing how the high-needs participants become so much more comfortable every week in their sessions in the pool.
Thank you Rebecca and all DSWs that help persons with disabilities participate fully within the community!
