“The best part of my job is making patients smile.”
Tracy has worked in health care for 16 years and has so many memorable moments – but an ongoing highlight for her is when patients or residents are thankful for her services in the kitchen.
As a Food Service Worker, Tracy prepares and serves meals and snacks. She also does the dishes and general cleaning and stocking of the cafeteria. She will often make new meal suggestions to improve the patients’ experiences, and will adapt to varying needs amongst patients.
As a Food Service Worker, Tracey has her Food Safe Certificate as well as her CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), TLR (Transferring, Lifting and Repositioning) and WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) training.
Her favourite part of the job is making patients smile and being able to make healthy and helpful meal suggestions!
