SEIU-West is pleased to invite members to apply for Unionism in Practice on August 20th, 2026.
Objectives for this one-day course are for participants to learn, understand and engage on:
- Understanding union values and principles
- Discussion on public services we rely on
- Leadership and communication skills
- Understanding and learning healthy workplaces and mental health issues
This course is designed for any member interested in union values. To apply, complete this form by July 9, 2026!
Your union will cover the costs of 15 participants per session. Expenses will be reimbursed to a maximum of one day for lost wages/honorarium, and applicable mileage, meals and accommodations based on our policies.
We will have one class in Saskatoon and one class in either Moose Jaw or Swift Current (pending where we get more applications).
