Greetings Sisters and Brothers,
Here is the latest update on the SEIU-West and West Park Crossing process to bargain amendments to the Collective Agreement.
Your bargaining committee consisting of Selene Desjardins and Rubilyn Mercene, Katelyn Almen, Union Representative for the Westpark Crossing facility and Bob Laurie, Director of Contract Bargaining and Enforcement for SEIU-West have developed our bargaining survey. We are getting copies made and will be handing the survey out in the next few days for members to fill out and give back to Selene or Rubilyn. We would like to have the survey completed by September 10, 2021.
The bargaining committee will analyze the survey results and put together a bargaining proposal package. We will be consulting with the membership to finalize our proposal package in September. We have set dates with the Employer to commence bargaining. We will meet on October 19, 20 and 21. We have yet to determine if bargaining will be through virtual meetings or face-to-face.
