SEIU-West Education Committee is encouraging our members to seek out the opportunities to take education on mental health.
In a report released by Statistics Canada, seven in 10 healthcare workers reported worsening mental health during the pandemic.
The Education Committee has researched several options to share with you:
Canadian Mental Health Association Saskatoon Branch has free online courses:
- Mental Health in the Workplace
- Stress in the Workplace
- Strong Families: Assertive Communication
- Strong Families: Building Boundaries
- Strong Families: Forgiveness
Get Help | 9-8-8: Suicide Crisis Helpline
The Schizophrenia Society has a partnership program to offer presentations. Their video is really interesting and can be found here.
And Saskatchewan Health Authority offers supports for Mental Health and Addictions Services as well.
We know that these are trying times, but know that you're not alone. There is help. Sk.211.ca is another great list of resources.
In solidiarity,
SEIU-West Education Committee
