4th day of Christmas – Workplace Injuries
Workplace injuries are commonplace in health care. In fact, hospitals and long term care facilities are the third highest for WCB serious injury in all Saskatchewan workplaces. Read the report on this link. Many injuries go unreported, so injury rates might be even higher. Our members report (using workload tracking forms) understaffing on a daily basis and we know this is connected to injuries/illness in the workplace. Some workplaces have an incident reporting line, such as 1600, and we would like to see this go province-wide so that all incidents can be reported and investigated.
