The SEIU-West Gender and Sexual Diversity Committee is proud to begin production on a video: It Gets Better. This video project will feature SEIU-West members talking about their experiences relating to coming out, in the hopes of sharing the important message that It Gets Better.
Filming will take place at the SEIU-West office in Saskatoon in late February or early March. Members who are selected to participate will have their expenses covered for lost wages or honoraria, as well as mileage expenses if travel is required to participate.
The video will consist of interview style questions, as outlined in the application. Participants should feel comfortable answering these questions. The committee acknowledges that this may be an emotional experience for some people and is creating a safe space for filming to take place.
Selected participants will be asked to complete a Consent and Release Form, authorizing the use of their video content, including their name and classification, to be used in the video. The video will be posted to the SEIU-West YouTube channel, and shared via social media, website, emails, and other distribution channels as deemed appropriate.
This Expression of Interest is open to SEIU-West members in good standing who identify as members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Click here to submit your application.
