Looking for A Turnaround

Media Advisory, October 25, 2017

Regina – SEIU-West members and their president, Barbara Cape, will be attending the opening of the Legislative Assembly on October 25, 2017.

“Our members have been working hard to get meetings with their MLAs over the summer, and participating in demonstrations, so it will be interesting to see if their messages have been heard,” said Barbara Cape, President of SEIU-West. “The actions our government takes in the coming months will speak to how much or how little they think of our members’ role in the public sector. That being said, we hope that our elected representatives are going to do what’s right for our communities. It is our priority to be at the opening of the fall sitting to hear the throne speech and get a sense of their agenda.”

SEIU-West members will proudly display their purple at the Rally to Reverse the Cuts taking place at 12:00 pm in front of the Legislature.
