June is National Indigenous Peoples Month. This is a time to honour the rich history, resilience, and diversity of First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. It is an opportunity to reflect on historical and current injustices and commit to true reconciliation in Canada.

The Municipal Employees’ Pension Commission (the Commission) met on June 20, 2024.
I have some deep concerns regarding the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, particularly as it relates to the treatment and recognition of Indigenous peoples in Canada.
On September 24, 2024 SEIU-West sent a letter to Mike Northcott, Deborah Moynes-Keshen, Erin Hess, and Ashley Anderson as follow up to the Walk a Day in My Shoes, which took place on July 30, 2024 at the Davidson Health Centre.
