The SEIU-West First Nations, Métis and Inuit Committee (FNMIC) is hosting a contest to design an image for orange shirts that the committee provides yearly to members. Submit your design to enter to win a $100 Co-op gift card.
This award has been established to honour Shelly Banks who led by example and served as SEIU-West vice-president from 2008-2015.
Her invaluable and outstanding contributions have made a significant and lasting impact on our members and our union.

Dear Members,
January 29, 2026 will mark 790 days since construction of a new main entrance began at St. Paul's Hospital expanding its main entrance interior by more than 6,500 square feet. At the same time, hospital workers, CBO workers, and long-term care staff across the province have gone 1,034 days without a contract, all while working through a persistent and dangerous staffing crisis.
The SEIU-West Education Committee regularly looks for educational events to send members to. We know that mental health has been a huge struggle for folks and wanted to investigate Mental Health First Aid Training hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association Saskatoon Branch.
