SHEPP: Legislative Change - Freeze on Transfers

The government of Saskatchewan recently made temporary changes to The Pension Benefits Regulations, 1993 that places a freeze on transfers or payments out of defined benefit plans.

Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan has compiled this list of FAQs for members of defined benefits plans.

For SEIU-West members who are a part of the Saskatchewan Healthcare Employees Pention Plan (SHEPP), please read this communique which explains what you can expect depending on your status within the plan.
