Sikh heritage month is in April because of Vaisakhi. Vaisakhi is a spring festival which happens on the 13th or 14th of April every year. It is a day to celebrate. In 1699, Sikhism was born as a collective faith.

Sikhs believe in one God, and that God is the Universe. We call God Waheguru, which translates to wonderful God.

The Three Golden Rules are:

1) to remember God always in what we say and do

2) to earn a truthful living

3) to share our earnings with everyone through charity and giving. This is called daswandh.
