Christine is an Environmental Services Worker (ESW) for Extendicare.
She enjoys every aspect of her job from cleaning residents' rooms to going above and beyond and being a second set of hands by offering someone a drink or ensuring they are comfortable in their chairs.

Every day, Christine cleans tub rooms, resident lounges and nursing stations. She cleans residents’ rooms by wiping down all touch surfaces, cleaning the bathroom, wiping the bedside tables, cleaning the floors and emptying garbage cans. She is trained in First Aid and CPR, as well as WHMIS.
This week we are celebrating Environmental Service Workers like Christine.
Christine and all ESWs are a vital part of the health care and education teams. Those moments you spend to connect and care for the residents and students as you clean their spaces make a huge difference in their lives.
Working through the pandemic has been difficult, and ESWs have been integral in getting us through so far. We know workers like Christine go above and beyond every single day to care for our clients, patients, residents and students. Thank you for everything you do!
