This week is Unit Support Week! Special thanks to our Front Line Heroes; the Unit Support workers, Unit Assistants and Unit Clerks!
"Unit assistants and unit support workers are important to me because I see just how much vital work each one does at my job in the emergency room.
They are the glue that holds the team together, whether we are working together in a critical trauma, or assisting others to do their jobs effectively and provide the highest level of patient care to patients who are potentially experiencing the worst days of their lives, USW and UA’s provide vital services to the hospitals and care homes, and clinic, that would otherwise not be done or have to be piled on top of other staff who are already often stretched thin.
Without unit assistants and support workers, healthcare services would not be able to function appropriately to provide the amazing care we are capable of in the SHA."
