Earth Day 2025
April 22 is Earth Day, a day for people worldwide to unite in a global movement to acknowledge the climate crisis and seize the opportunities of a zero-carbon future.
Trans Sask is hosting the inaugural 2024 Trans Prairie Wellness Summit on March 17 & 18 on Treaty 6 Territory in Saskatoon.
This gathering will bring together Two Spirit, trans, non-binary, and gender non-confirming (2STNBGN) community members, along with allied health and wellness students and providers to plant the seeds of a robust future focused on trans wellness and liberation. Over two days, participants will collaborate, educate, inspire, and create joyful futures in which every 2STNBGN person not only has what they need to survive, but to thrive in the prairies.
The SEIU-West Gender & Sexual Diversity Committee will sponsor up to two (2) delegates to attend the Trans Prairie Wellness Summit, including registration costs, lost wages or honoraria, travel costs, and meal expenses for those who are selected to attend in accordance with SEIU-West policies.
Space is limited, so apply today. Completed Expression of Interest forms must be received in our office on or before February 28, 2024 in order to allow us to complete the selection and registration process. Due to the nature of this event, preference will be given to applicants who identify as Two Spirit, trans, non-binary, gender fluid, or gender queer.
