In 2007 a high school student in Berwick Nova Scotia was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. Two grade 12 students bought 50 pink shirts and encouraged their classmates to wear pink. The next day, they went to distribute the shirts and to their surprise the majority of students had arrived to school wearing pink. That beautiful act of solidarity and kindness prompted Pink Shirt Day. This important day raises awareness about the prevention of bullying and promoting kindness and inclusion and will take place on February 22, 2023.

We always love to see your smiling faces, but especially when you are raising awareness about important issues. If you would like to be featured on our social media wearing your Stop Bullying pink shirt, you can send your pics to [email protected]
