Sisters, Brothers, and Friends,
SEIU-West Committees keep us at the forefront of the Labour movement in Canada, and provide an excellent opportunity for members to learn from each other. Committee members serve for two years, and we have now approached the end of a two-year term so we are requesting SEIU-West members and all current committee members to submit their Expressions of Interest form should they wish to serve or remain on committees.
Each committee is comprised of members just like you, a Top Officer, and is supported by a SEIU-West staff member.

We are still in disbelief; a happy event turned into a very sad and tragic day.
We would like to invite everyone to a Community Vigil tomorrow, April 30th, 2025, to honour and support the victims and families affected by the Filipino Lapu-Lapu Day tragedy in Vancouver, BC.
We also extend our deepest gratitude to all who have expressed sympathy and support for the Filipino community. Your thoughtfulness and solidarity have brought much-needed comfort during this time of sorrow.
April 28 is National Day of Mourning, a day held each year dedicated to remembering workers who have lost their lives on the job or been stricken by job-related illnesses. It also reminds us that improving workplace health and safety is an ongoing struggle.
