June is National Indigenous Peoples Month. This is a time to honour the rich history, resilience, and diversity of First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. It is an opportunity to reflect on historical and current injustices and commit to true reconciliation in Canada.

April 22 is Earth Day, a day for people worldwide to unite in a global movement to acknowledge the climate crisis and seize the opportunities of a zero-carbon future.
In accordance with the SEIU-West Constitution, which includes the following text in Article II, paragraph 6:

In 2024, Canada experienced yet another record-breaking. year of extreme weather events driven by climate change, including heat waves, wildfires, and floods. Scientists project an increase in these events in the coming years.
The JJE Job #189 Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist will receive a market supplement of 3.0% applied to the base rate of pay.
SEIU-West is looking to train and support a member who is interested in participating in the Joint Job Evaluation Maintenance Committee as an alternate. We want to broaden the skill set of our member leaders and activists and are posting for this position.
Qualifications/abilities
- Has been a member in good standing for at least 2 years and is active in SEIU-West
- Basic computer skills
- Has knowledge of trade unions and SEIU-West
- Has received Steward training – e.g. facing management
- Basic knowledge of JJE plan (learn more here)
- Able and willing to attend in-person meetings in Regina
