Shelly Banks served as SEIU-West Vice President from 2008-2015. Her invaluable and outstanding contributions have made a significant and lasting impact on members and our union.
SEIU-West Committees keep us at the forefront of the Labour movement in Canada, and provide an excellent opportunity for members to learn from each other. Committee members serve for two years, and we have now approached the end of a two-year term so we are requesting SEIU-West members and all current committee members to submit their Expressions of Interest form should they wish to serve or remain on committees.
Each committee is comprised of members just like you, a Top Officer, and is supported by a SEIU-West staff member.
The committees are as follows:
- Education Committee
- First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Committee
- Gender and Sexual Diversity Committee
- Member Organizing Committee
- Nursing Care Committee
- Political Action & Awareness Committee
- Retiree Committee
- Worker Safety Committee
- Workers of Colour Multicultural Mentorship Committee
- Young Workers Committee (must be under 35)
Please fill this online Expression of Interest form completely by May 31, 2025.
